Lamb Tacos
Enjoy this flavorful twist on classic tacos!

Ingredients

  • (1 lb) Ground Lamb
  • (1 medium) Onion, chopped
  • (2) Garlic cloves, minced
  • (Suggested spices) Chili powder, cumin, paprika, coriander, oregano, salt, pepper
  • (1/2 cup) Lamb Bone Broth
  • Your favorite tortillas

Directions

1)  Add a splash of water or olive oil to a skillet. Add the chopped onion and garlic and sauté for about 3-4 minutes, until softened.

2)  Add the ground lamb and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes. 

3)  As our lamb is so flavorful all on its own, some may prefer to add seasoning only mildly or not at all. Some suggestions to sprinkle in might be: chili powder, cumin, paprika, coriander, oregano, and salt and pepper. 

4)  Pour in the broth, stirring to combine. Let the mixture simmer for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the liquid to reduce slightly. *You may use any of the broth flavors!

5)  Spoon the ground lamb mixture into each warmed tortilla. Add fresh toppings such as sliced cabbage, pickled onions, cilantro, tomatoes, avocado, lettuce, salsa, and a squeeze of lime.

* Sometimes we like to add a homemade cream topping using either sour cream or coconut cream (dairy-free). In a small bowl, add and mix: 1/2 cup cream, 1 Tb lime juice, salt and spices to taste such as chipotle, cumin, chopped cilantro, and chili powder!
