Farm Favorite Beef Burgundy

Directions
We add to our crockpot:
2 lbs of CDF beef stew meat
pieces of CDF cooked bacon (optional)
2 medium onions, sliced
3-4 carrots sliced into 1/4 inch pieces
4 celery ribs, sliced
At this point, we set the crockpot to high for a few hours (before turning it to low for the remainder of time).
We then wisk together:
1/2 cup oat flour (you can use all-purpose)
1/2 ts thyme leaves
1/2 ts marjoram leaves
1/2 ts garlic powder
12 oz CDF beef broth (or water)
1.5 Tb Worstershire sauce
1/2 cup dry red wine
Add to the crockpot and stir to combine all ingredients! After the initial 3 hours on high, we turn the crockpot down to low setting and cook for a few hours or until the stew meat starts to break apart.
During the last hour or so of cooking:
We add lots of freshly sliced mushrooms.
We also cook wide egg noodles or mashed potatoes or whatever the burgundy is going over.
Once finished cooking:
We add fresh or dried parsley and salt/pepper to taste.

*Note: When we are cooking for those who don't care for mushrooms, we sauté mushrooms and serve separately with some broccoli too!
